American photographer, Melanie Grizzel is a lifestyle, portrait, people on location and food photographer that always brings a sense of realness and honesty to her images and a comfortable calmness to every photo shoot. Her work is organic as she finds something stylistically natural in everything she shoots. Blending her New York style and Austin culture allows her work to be both bold and direct and yet exude a sense of ease. Grizzel recently discovered her new obsession for food photography quite accidentally and that is radiantly reflected in her new personal work.
Along with her commercial work Grizzel keeps occupied with a variety of personal projects including a series of Love in the Kitchen stories. She loves cooking, traveling, trying new things and a good pint, and has been photographing professionally since 1995, working with both editorial and advertising clients. Some of these include: Maxwell House, Kodak, Bank of America, Forbes, Marie Claire, New York Times, People Magazine and Texas Monthly, among others.
